This guide is intended to help individuals who have just been promoted to Senior Management Division. Once you join the SM division, you must complete a Code of Conduct task in order to be promoted to the next division. This four-part guide is going to guide you through the SM task as well as your two new abilities:
Code of Conduct Task
To help members of SM have a better understanding of the Code of Conduct, there is a task that highlights the most recurring and misunderstood rules in HIA. This task will further expand SM members’ knowledge on the Code of Conduct and how to analyze conduct in HIA, as well as assisting members on the process of approving disciplinary logs.
The task also includes questions regarding how you'll be able to work on your duties as a Senior Management member, as well as Personal Secretary and Boss questions to ensure you learn about the duties of a PS through this task. Please do your best in completing your tasks and seek guidance and support from SM Leadership if you encounter any difficulties.
The task can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/cjz8evp3
To be promoted to the next Division, all SM rank holders must complete the Senior Management Task. However, it is only optional to those that buy past the rank.

Approval of Disciplinary Logs
However, they may not approve disciplinary logs for a person in the same division as them or higher (for example, an SM member can not approve a disciplinary log against another SM member). When you are approving a disciplinary log, YOU the approver, MUST BE 1 DIVISION HIGHER than the person logging the disciplinary.
[You are not allowed to approve any of your own warnings/strikes/fires with special exceptions to those who are 4iC+ and above.]
Below are the following steps for handling disciplinary reports and approving the disciplinary log:
- SM members can promote staff up to Junior Admin.
- Approval of Disciplinary Logs on HIA's portal
- Hiring and administering duties to your own Personal Secretary (PS)

Approval of Disciplinary Logs
- As a PS+ member, you’ve just been enforcing the Code of Conduct at HIA and logging disciplinaries for breaking the Code of Conduct on the portal.
- The Senior Management division is now allowed to approve disciplinary logs against other members who are found breaking the Code of Conduct or displaying any other types of inappropriate behavior.
- Senior Management division and above (SM+) may approve warnings/strikes/fires that are logged on the portal.
- When an individual comes up to you to get an approval for a disciplinary, make sure to ask them for the details of the whole situation from their perspective. [Skip this step if you are involved in the situation and if the details are already clear.]
- Have them send you a full screenshot clearly showing the Code of Conduct violation as proof via Discord. The person should upload the screenshots to an image sharing website such as Imgur, Lightshot or Gyazo and send you the link on Discord so you can add it as proof to the disciplinary log on the portal. Reminder: Discord or Slack links are not valid as evidence and should NOT be used in the screenshots portion of the disciplinary log. Screenshots are mandatory to log any warnings/strikes/fires. [Take your own screenshots if you are involved.]
- Look through the evidence/screenshots and evaluate the situation. Using proper judgment, if you believe there is enough evidence to prove that it is indeed a violation of the Code of Conduct, you can give your approval for the disciplinary. If you are logging the disciplinary yourself, make sure to get an approval from someone that is 1 division HIGHER than your current division. [If you are ever confused about what type of disciplinary measure should be taken and given to the offender, request for help from either an LA member, CoS member, or any elective.]

There are several approaches to hiring a personal assistant.
- The usual ways are submitting an application through PS Application to be posted in PS/Boss Sheet.
- You can choose how you want the members to contact you, either via Habbo or Discord DM.
- Those who are interested will apply and you can freely choose whoever is best fit for you.
- You might also want to conduct interviews to learn more about them.
- Lastly, you can simply ask someone if they are interested in being your PS.
- Please be informed that you are responsible for your own decisions of who you will choose to work with you.
Personal Secretary’s are eligible to the following:
- Your PS will have the ability to promote workers up to your current promotion limit (even if it exceeds the PS’ own promotion limit.) When a PS is promoting on behalf of you, they should inform the person they are promoting that the promotion is on behalf of their boss. They will need to add in the comment section of the promotion logs : “Promo on behalf of (the boss' username).” [However, you MUST be in base at the time of the promotion. Also note that the quota will be counted on your PS' quota and not the boss' quota.]
- A PS can also aid their bosses in completing any task that is HIA-related including Interviews, Promotions, Training, and elective works such as documentation, spreadsheets, and etc. Your PS has the right to refuse any tasks that aren’t HIA-related or they aren’t comfortable in doing. [Keep in mind that you cannot allow your PS to do a task without you participating or assisting them in some way.]
- How you show your appreciation to your PS is entirely up to you. The common practice is paying your PS once a week for a job well done. Other options (such as buying them HC or ranks) are possible too. [You are not obligated to pay your PS. It should be an agreement between both of you regarding if you will pay them or not.]
