Badge Removal Guide
What is a badge removal?
A badge removal is the act of removing official HIA-related badges from a user’s profile after their online time has exceeded the 14 days inactive period. In saying this, badge removal requests must only be logged when the user has overstayed 15+ days of inactivity. This is because the user is granted a ‘24 hour grace period’ after surpassing 14 days of inactivity.
Who removes badges?
Members within the elective ranks which hold the badge admin privilege can remove badges. If you wish to contact a badge admin or, BA, you should ask for one in the #requests channel on Discord. The main reason you should request a BA should be for badge acceptance. Badge removal requests should only be done through the portal.
Please note: Badge admins are not in charge of SU Related or Pay related badges, it is merely coincidental if a user is within the SU/Payer and also a badge admin; the two do not correlate.
Example:
@ExRiC > Remove (username) inactivity
@Payer > (username) inactivity please remove HC Levels #

- If you wish to request the removal of a persons HC Levels due to inactivity, contact a Payer.
- If you wish to request the removal of a persons Special Unit badges due to inactivity, contact that Special Unit's iCs.

@ExRiC > Remove (username) inactivity

Submitting a badge removal request
Once a user has met the requirements of inactivity, members High Management+ may submit a badge removal request on the Portal. This is done under the Portal Logs section, then Access Removals > Requests. Here you can see current and previous badge removal requests. ‘Requester’ is the username of those who have submitted badge removal requests, whilst ‘Request Target’ is the user who’s badge may be removed. The checkered flag on the far right indicates whether or not the badges have been removed by a badge admin. |
Here is where the inactive username should be put; with your reasoning and screenshot(s). For example: 14+ days offline time without an LOA | *screenshot link*. Screenshots can be uploaded using services such as Imgur, Gyazo, or Lightshot. Once you have clicked ‘Add Log’, you have successfully submitted a badge removal request which you may now view on the Badge Removal Requests page as shown below. A pop up will also show to confirm that the request has been logged.
How do I know how long a user has been inactive?
“Inactivity Length” will be determined on the Habbo user’s profile by their last login. If the user does not have online time activated - please check to see when their last promotion was as well as when they last promoted/trained/toured someone on Portal (if they are Trainer/HR+). If any of these are within the normal 14 day period - Do not log a badge removal report. Please message the user and inform them to turn their online time on (as it is a violation of the Code of Conduct). If all of the previously stated items (last promotion and last time promoting/training/touring) are 15+ days - you may contact a badge admin and inform them that the user’s online time is off and they are inactive on Portal. The badge admin will make a decision based on the situation and they may or may not inform you to log a report (or they will simply remove the badges at that moment). |
What should I do if someone has exceeded their LOA time?
If a user has exceeded their LOA time, do NOT log a badge removal. This is up to LOA Admins to do, not High Management+ members.
If you require any further assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to any member of the High Management Team!
Do not include anything else other than the Habbo’s profile in your screenshot. Please make sure the last login/online time is clearly visible - as well as the username of the Habbo, HIA motto (if applicable), and showcase HIA badges in the screenshot as well - proving the user is still employed in HIA.
IF the member has their habbo profile private or their online time is turned off, proceed to their portal stats for screenshots/proof.
