Disciplinary Actions Guide
In HIA, a disciplinary action is the act of warning, striking, demoting, and / firing HIA personnel due to inappropriate behavior and breaches of the HIA Code of Conduct (CoC). This includes, but is not limited to, rules infringement and disregard for the HIA Bully Policy. Please read these 2 documents as they are very important.
GIVING A DISCIPLINARY ACTION PROCEDURE:
When you witness a breach of Code of Conduct, here’s what you should do.
Step 1: Give the offender a verbal warning with a Code of Conduct that they break.
Step 2: If they continue, take screenshot(s) including your verbal warning and ask SM+ members (must be higher division than you) to approve your log. If it’s an instant fire offence, seek assistance from 4iC+.
Step 3: Log the disciplinary in correct format (see below for more information). Ask the approver to check your log.
Step 4: Inform the offender about their log (ask them to add x1 or x2 if it was a strike log) and make sure they understand what they did wrong.

GENERAL NOTES:
- If the violator is in the same or higher division as you, let the higher division know and handle the situation.
- Verbal warning is given before ANY disciplinary log is made. (if possible)
- Verbal warnings are NOT logged on the HIA portal; however, it's still highly recommended to take screenshots of the CoC violation along with your Habbo issuing the verbal warning as evidence for future reference should you ever need it.
- Below is a table showing the minimum rank required to engage in the following procedures:
- While 4iC+ are able to approve their own disciplinary logs, it is still good practice to ask other electives about their opinions on the log.
- All PS+ are allowed to issue strike removals (for observing improved behavior), only for the logs that they have issued. More information on this below.
- Invalid disciplinary logs may be removed by a Portal Owner/Admin. Anyone may report invalid logs, however it is the duty of Marshal Services to check disciplinary logs regularly.
How are disciplinary actions recorded?
Before logging a disciplinary, make sure to check that you have verbally warned the offender and that they are still doing it.
Logging a warning/strike (you must be in Professional Staff Division or higher to do this):
Step 1: Open habbohia.net and go to “Disciplinary Logs” menu and click “Disciplinary Logs”.
Step 2: Click “Add Discipline”.
Step 3: Fill in the detail with correct format;
- Put the OFFENDER’s name and rank in “Agent Name” and “Agent Rank”.
- Check the offender’s previous logs and choose the corresponding type following this diagram.
For all ranks Security+, the regular strike system applies:
For example, if the person has been logged for Strike x1, you must continue with Strike x2.
- Demote User is ONLY for Strike x2.
- Input your approver for the log in “Approved”, make sure the person agrees with the log.
- Insert screenshot link into “Screenshot”, click here on how to upload a screenshot (See below for screenshot guide).
- Copy the rules that are breached and put it in “Reason”, it can be a full rule (e.g 1.A §16 - Do not sell ranks without the [HIA] Rank Sellers badge.) or just the numerical value (e.g 1.A §16).
Logging a fire (you must be in Government Division or higher to do this):
Step 1: Open habbohia.net and go to “Disciplinary Logs” menu and click “Fired Logs”
Step 2: Click “Add Fired”

GENERAL NOTES:
- You MUST speak to a 4iC+ for instant fire offences.
- Note that if you’re logging a Warning x3 or Strike x3, have Gov+ member to log a fire log with the same evidence.
- The strike system can be bypassed if the violation is severe with 4iC+ approval. (i.e person is given strike x1 without any prior warning)
- While approving a disciplinary log, the approver MUST view the evidence and also agree with the reasoning provided. Approver must check the log afterward and ensure they are valid.
- Approvers are also held responsible if an invalid disciplinary log is made. If a Marshal member finds an issue with a log, they are inclined to also ask the approver of the log for their reasoning why it was approved and why they did not check to ensure validity
- If any of the fields are filled incorrectly, it may be enough grounds to render it invalid and face removal.
- All Fields are compulsory to fill except the file uploader.
- If the evidence contains classified information, please reach out to Legal Affairs or Directorate to be withheld.
- Ensure all evidence captured shows a clear story of events (eg. who started what, who did what, and where the events took place).
NOTES FOR APPROVER:
- While approving a disciplinary log, the approver MUST view the evidence and also agree with the reasoning provided.
- Approvers are also held responsible if an invalid disciplinary log is made. If a Marshal member finds an issue with a log, they are inclined to also ask the approver of the log for their reasoning why it was approved and why they did not check to ensure validity.
